HelpingPeru's projects are on
hold while donations are critically low. We will resume our aid projects
as soon as possible. Your donations are welcome and the any donations
received at this time will be applied to our next project which will either be a
toy drive at Christmas 2010 or a school supply drive for the 2011 school year.
Thank you,

School Supply Drive 2011 |
 |
There is no better way to help a population, no
matter what their current situation is, than by helping educate the
next generation. If a local parent has a job, it probably pays
between $5 and $9 a day. That makes them the working poor, and
after buying the basic necessities leaves nothing. Schools
supplies are not provided by the Government and each student is
expected to bring his entire year's school supplies during the first
week of school. This past year they cost each student about
$70. That $70 takes food off the table or when they can't be
bought (which is normally the case), the student doesn't have the
supplies necessary to help him/her learn.
